Work with Intiman

Intiman Theatre administrative offices are located in Capitol Hill on the campus of Seattle Central College. We are the professional theatre-in-residence at the college, where we produce at the Erickson Theatre and Broadway Performance Hall. We offer a dynamic and flexible working environment, including work-from-home days.

Do you have a passion for social justice? Are you invested in expanding community access to theatrical productions and arts education? Are you experienced in supporting an organization that raises money through authentic connections with city philanthropists and civil servants, or do you want to be? Are you interested in working for a company that produces plays and musicals with incredible talent, both onstage and off? If so, Intiman Theatre may be the place for you!
We are looking for folks who share our passion for making progressive theatre and education programs that activate dialogue, confront inequity, and build collective joy.
Intiman is an equal-opportunity employer. Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the position, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and qualifications for this role. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

 Education Program Manager

Department: Education

Compensation: $25/hour

Classification: Full time 30hrs/week, annual, non-exempt. Full benefits included (health / vision / dental), 12 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation, more

Summary of Job Description:

The Education Program Manager leads Intiman’s STARFISH Project (middle and high school) and recruitment for AA Degree in Technical Theatre for Social Justice with Seattle Central College. The emphasis for these programs is on the technical arts, including theater and film.

We welcome submissions from playwrights, literary agents and theatre colleagues with whom we have professional relationships. Unfortunately, we do not accept unsolicited script submissions or queries. Unsolicited scripts will be returned via SASE, or recycled. Please know this has everything to do with our limited staffing and nothing to do with our lack of interest in emerging playwrights.

Intiman typically casts in the previous winter. If you are interested in auditioning or would like to invite a member of the Intiman staff to a performance, please send an email to casting@intiman.org.

If you are a theatre-lover who would like to get involved with Intiman, like usher and see a show, please send us a message. Thank you for your interest in collaborating with us.
